Photo restoration
Restore faded, damaged or torn photographs.
We repair selected family photographs digitally, from simple fading and marks to more substantial damage. You receive a restored digital file; reprints and framing are optional.
You do not need an exact count before you enquire.
What we can scan
Start with a clear copy of the photograph.
For restoration we first need to see the image and understand what is damaged. If you have the original photograph, we can advise on the best way to digitise it before restoration.
- Fading, colour casts and general tonal correction.
- Dust, scratches, marks and minor damage.
- Tears, creases and missing areas where reconstruction is realistic.
- A restored digital file is included; printing and framing are optional.

Common questions
Before you send your material.
Can every photograph be restored?
No. Most damage can be improved, but the achievable result depends on how much original image information remains.
Will the result look artificially new?
That is not the aim. We restore damage and improve readability while keeping the photograph believable.
Do I need to send the original?
Not always. If you already have a good scan, we can assess it. If the original exists, we may recommend scanning it first for the best result.
Not sure what you have?
Send us a photograph.
A quick phone picture of the box, album, slides or negatives is often enough for us to advise.
